The crazy Characters of Wildflower Farm

Many crazy characters make Wildflower Farm their home.

Many crazy and interesting characters live here at Wildflower Farm. So let me introduce you to them. In the photo of the goat attempting to break and enter through the side door, is old Annabelle, a 12 year old dairy goat. She is quite in love with me. Not so much my husband who she beats up a bit every chance she gets. She follows me on walks around the yard and grazes with her little buddy Starry.
Starry the baby goat

Starry, came to us very sick. She will never grow to full size. But she loves to play. And she is great with kids and with everyone. A very happy little girl. You can't watch her in her pen without smiling.
We call these girls Astrid and Anneli.
They came to us from a wonderful loving home and we are so happy to continue to care for them in the loving manner they are accustomed. I am still getting to know them. Astrid, on the right, still doesn't seem to take to me. But her mother Anneli, on the left has been a quiet, gentle, kind addition to our little homestead. I look forward to walking them in the spring as I do with Starry and Annabelle.
He didn't sit on a nail. And he is just fine.
This is Yoda the dog, above. A character like no other. Comic relief, my savior, and my light in dark places.... I love him. Sometimes he models my pet creations that I sell over Etsy, by a name that predates the name of the farm, and from my little first floor gift shop. Sometimes he becomes very awkward about sitting for photo shoots. The stories I could tell about Yoda the Dodo dog, who is actually not a dodo, he is quite smart. But I will save those tales for another time. Right now, he sleeps on the sofa with his little brother Avery.
Avery, is a sweet guy with ball obsession issues
Avery, is a sweet shy guy. He takes time to warm up especially with young children. But if they throw his ball for him they will be best friends in good time. He is gentle and reminds me a bit of Dennis The Menace, somehow. He has severe ball obsession issues, and he loves chasing the chickens. He just doesn't know what to do with them when he gets them. So he lets them go again. No harm done. They don't even mind him anymore.
The chickens have joined the Occupy movement. They protest for a raise in the minimum worm treats.
